'Twas the night before Christmas...

My lil' ones are fast asleep. Earlier they were wondering "do you think Santa will come in our room to say hi?.... cuz we wouldn't like that.... it might scare us a little bit." I told them that is part of the magic.. he is not allowed to be seen or heard by the children when they sleep, but if we wake up and see the cookies are gone, then we know that he was here.

Merry Christmas to you and yours... xoxo

The Rug has skillzzz..

"The Rug"... Jackson's affectionate nickname from his training days at Summit. He can usually be found well... laying on the floor, you know, like a rug! He does love to nap, however he also LOVES to help Taysen and we LOVE how independent he makes Taye feel.

At Taysen and Jackson's graduation, Wendy (the trainer) gave Taysen some tug ropes that she made for Jackson to open the fridge. The floor is a little slippery on his claws, but he gets the job done ~ check it out!

I can tell they've been practicing because look what I found in the fridge.

Graduating.....

....Taysen and Jackson that is! It's a big deal for our little man. He's very excited to see everyone (and their dogs) on Sunday. If any of you are going to be in the Seattle area on Sunday and would like to come, please let me know and I will give you directions! I took Jackson with me to the mall for an eye dr. appt. this week to "brush up" on his manners and aside from a little extra sniffing when we passed the pretzel shop he was perfect.
"get it. bring it here. give." - picking up a toy that Taye dropped. He has no way of getting dropped items if someone is not around to get it for him. This is one of Jackson's favorite things to do.

"push" - opening the door for Taysen. Taysen has really been wanting Jackson to tie to the wheels when we are out and about so we'll talk with the trainer about that to see if Taye can start practicing. It's going to be a real challenge for him to not drive like a wild man but he says he can do it!

"push" - closing the drawer "tug" - pulling off socks.
