New Years Eve Gala

I wanted to take a minute to give everyone a heads up about an upcoming event.  Our friend,  Trent has decided to take on a huge project of organizing a fundraiser to benefit two charities.

Some friends of ours have a smiley little boy named Baker.  Baker is 4 years old and is living with Menkes disease.  You can read about this little hero HERE.  Half of the proceeds from the event will benefit the NIH Menkes research, and the other half (in honor of Taysen) will benefit the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation for SMA research.

There will be dinner and an auction and it will be at The Reserve in Lynden.  If anybody is able and willing to donate anything, please let me know and I will get you in contact with Trent!  It could be a service, item, tickets..  anything really!   This is a great opportunity to enjoy a night out and also help out with funding research for SMA and Menkes.

  1. Hi Melodie... I know, where have I been? sorry been so busy with our little guy and all his medical stuff, Im just trying to blog more myself again. It seems FB has been a little easier to keep up with our little frineds. I loved seeing all the photos you had posted there. A great turn out.

I remember Baker, his mom and I exchanged emails along time ago of our diagnoses journey. BOY, he has really grown, such handsome boys. Speaking of handsome boys, wow, your boys just get cuter and cuter! And I can see River is sporting one of my favorite online store to shop--77 kids! I cant miss the "awesome or rad" wear :) Those pic of him at the umpkin farm are so cute, love his hair! (oh sorry about the mispelling with the pumpkin but for some reason this wont let me go back otherwise I lose the curser, been trying to type this for 20mins already, weird!

Anyway, I probably need to get more caught up here with Tay, and see how he's been doing, he looks great :) hugs and always prayers for your family.
    Heidi & Jack.
